Dr. Katarzyna Antolak-Szymanski is an associate professor of law at SWPS University in Warsaw, Poland, mediator (certified in Poland and the state of New Jersey (U.S.), and attorney. Her primary areas of research include Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), labor law and civil procedure. She has made some comparative research on court-connected mediation in the United States, and worked at the mediation office at the United States District Court of the Middle District of Pennsylvania. She also served as a law clerk in the labor and social insurance section of the Polish Supreme Court. Recently, Dr. Antolak-Szymanski has focused on researching the legality of different forms of mandatory mediation. She has numerous publications in the area of ADR and labor law: most recently she was the editor of the book Mediacje Obligatoryjne [Mandatory Mediation] (2017).

Dr. Katarzyna Antolak-Szymanski ist außerordentliche Professorin für Recht an der SWPS Universität in Warschau, Polen, Mediatorin (zertifiziert in Polen und dem Bundesstaat New Jersey (USA)) und Rechtsanwältin. Zu ihren Forschungsschwerpunkten gehören Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Arbeitsrecht und Zivilprozessrecht. Sie hat einige vergleichende Untersuchungen zur gerichtlich gebundenen Mediation in den Vereinigten Staaten durchgeführt und arbeitete in der Mediationsstelle am United States District Court of the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Sie war auch als Gerichtsschreiberin in der Abteilung für Arbeits- und Sozialversicherung am Obersten Gerichtshof Polens tätig. Dr. Antolak-Szymanski hat sich in jüngster Zeit mit der Erforschung der Rechtmäßigkeit verschiedener Formen der obligatorischen Mediation beschäftigt.
